The Panasonic TX-P42X10B is a 42inch HD Ready plasma television, and Panasonic believe it to be the new generation of HD Ready panel. The V-real 4 Engine is behind the crystal clear motion and ultra smooth images on screen, whilst still giving you natural, realistic colours. With a Dynamic contrast ratio of 2 million:1 blacks on the TX-P42X10b are the deepest ever, this is really important as it allows you to distinguish the difference between blackness levels, which is great if you are watching a film or programme that has been filmed at night. Although we recommend a separate Panasonic Home Cinema System to achieve the best sound quality the 42X10 does feature V-Surround Sound, which gives you detailed sound from its stereo speakers.
The Panasonic TX-P42X10 boast 100Hz double scan, this basically means that the annoying flickering of the screen is considerably reduced. Standard televisions run at a 50Hz this is the cause of the flickering because of the shortage in the number of pictures displayed per second. This model however is driven as 100HZ therefore double the amount of pictures which means the flickering is greatly reduced and is hardly noticeable.
As with most of the VIERA Panels the Panasonic TXP42X10 has the VIERA link technology, which gives you the convenience of controlling all your VIERA AV equipment with one single remote control. Recently the VIERA Link feature has been improved further to include the LUMIX cameras. If the camera is connected to the TXP42X10 via a HDMI cable you have the ability to control the picture playback using your remote control. If you dont have a LUMIX camera there is a covenant SD Card slot on the side of the panel, this allows you to show all your family and friends your photographs on a large screen, you can also chose from 3 different types of music to accompany the slide show.
