Dickinson College students now have a new medium to reach President William Durden: the radio. Starting September 2009, on the last Thursday of the month at noon, Marc Katz ’10 will be hosting an hour-long interview with President William G. Durden ’71 on WDCV 88.3 FM, answering questions submitted by anyone who is interested in hearing directly from the President of Dickinson College.

This course has been designed to expose the student to the history and development of the rehabilitation movement inclusive of its legal base, philosophies, concepts, and current trends. The rehabilitation process and its application are examined from the perspective of the person with a disability and
the rehabilitation professional. Topics explored include the psychological and vocational adjustment of persons with disabilities as well as an examination of selected rehabilitation methods. The relationship between the rehabilitation professional and the person with a disability is explored in terms of confidentiality and ethical conduct. Throughout, the uniqueness of the rehabilitation process is noted.
