Parklawn Assembly of God Church is a fellowship of the Assemblies of God. It is one of Milwaukee, Wisconsin’s largest multiracial congregations, centrally located in Milwaukee’s Sherman Park neighborhood. Although considered a large church by its size (average weekend attendance is 2,000), it is comprised of cell groups (Lighthouses) and small groups (Life Groups). These help our members and friends to stay connected to one another, study, pray and have fun in life together. Parklawn has several ministries including: Children’s (REAL Kids), Youth and Young Adults (Regeneration), Women’s (Women of Virtue) and Men’s (Men of Honor).
The Vision of Parklawn is - (P.R.I.S.M.)
• Prayer (each member, home and the church will be a house of prayer and practice a lifestyle of passionate prayer)
• Reconciliation (each member and the church will model to the greater Body of Christ and world the unity and the diversity that is in God)
• Investing (we will support and train each member in becoming a servant leader)
• Strong Families (valuing life from the womb until the tomb, and supporting families as God designed them)
• Missions (fulfilling the great Commission and sending and supporting missionaries)
The Mission of Parklawn is – Bringing Light to the World (by fulfilling the Great Commission and the Great Commandment).
Our Core Scripture is –”Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven." Matthew 5:16
Our Core Values are described in the acronym - "Shine It"
Service – Humility – Innovation - No Limits - Excellence
Integrity -Truth
And our Church Membership Process or Strategy is – Begin, Believe, Belong, Become and Be a Witness
BEGIN (we recognize that each person is on a spiritual journey – we welcome you to walk with us wherever you are in yours)
BELIEVE (we will help you discover and release your faith in God through His Son, Jesus Christ)
BELONG (we extend open arms to our guests to become friends; and our friends to become family)
BECOME (we offer many Christina education and training opportunities to equip you to serve both in the church, the community and the world)
BE A WITNESS (it each our privilege to share the love of God in practical ways with those we encounter)
Parklawn Assembly of God completed a $5 Million building expansion in 2007. New and renovated spaces included Children’s Ministry, River of Life Bookstore, Cup of Life Café, Music and Fine Arts Wing, Parklawn Christian Leadership Academy, classrooms, fellowship hall and gymnasium and new administrative offices.
Founded in 1909 and recognized in 2008 by Outreach magazine as one of America’s fastest Growing churches (then ranked #50), Parklawn continues to be a thriving and effective influence in the greater Milwaukee area.

** glasgowgenerations.blogspot.com ** top-ten-glasgow-guide.com ** glasgowgenerations@googlemail.com ** A wee light-hearted family podcast run by Scott Docherty and his dad, Charlie Docherty. It’s about growing up and living in Glasgow from the 1940’s and onwards. The end of WWII and the regeneration still taking place; the tenement life with its community, cludgies and dykes; the deprivation; the auld patter, the Auld Firm, the auld trams; the steamie & the Co.; the No Mean City; the beating heart of music; the fashions; the dancin, the winchin and the favourite haunts; and all the little odds and ends that make Glasgow what she is today. Over time you’ll hear plenty of great personal stories and memories, and we welcome as many of your own, in the hope that as Glasgow continues to flourish down the years and finds her place amongst the most magnetic cities on the planet, we’ll have preserved here just a wee bit of her working class roots. It’s a pure stoater byraway! Intro track by The Banjo Boys provided courtesy of The Music Kitchen (www.themusickitchen.co.uk)

The primary focus of REgeneration is to:
REACH the lost, RESTORE the prodigal, and RENEW the believer. We believe in communicating God's unchanging truth in a relevant manner - through the use of various media that are most effective with our generation.
Our vision is to see the young people of our city reconnect with God, and for this generation to inherit God's plan of hope and purpose in each of their lives.
Coastal Regeneration (mp3)
This lecture focuses on the effects of cities and urban living particularly taking into consideration both the arousal and overload (theoretical) perspectives. Furthermore, the negative effects of crowing, limited personal space and temperature are discussed. Importantly, this lecture also focuses on urban deprivation, regeneration and renewal programs.
