Fire Your Tech Guy is written by the founder and main consultant at a Bay Area technical consulting firm. Most of his clients are running either Mac or PC, and are more interested in the success of their business than the success of their computer systems.
Some people hire help to do this for them; others wing it and do it themselves or make someone do it internally.
We are here for both of you. The savvy business owner needs some help, and we shall help.
Topic suggestions are suggested via the suggestion box at birdDogdigital@gmail.com. Suggest away, creative people.

Bold Enterprises presents Working Matters
A periodic podcast with advice for small marketing firms and in-house departments, specifically in advertising, graphic design, public relations, and interactive. We help clients manage transitions and obstacles to success via consulting, writing, speaking, seminars, conferences, and roundtables. We also help other consultants develop their practices. We provide principals with objective, expert advice on best practices, but we are unique because we know a particular field intimately, having learned and developed "best practices" from working with hundreds of firms in this niche since 1994. And we apply them with proprietary, defined processes (TBR, BEA, RVM, RFM, PBME, etc.) that both ensure results and make the working relationship enjoyable to you. You'll already know much of what we point out, but we will put the pieces into context, save you from experimenting, and bring solutions that may not have occurred to you yet. We'll gently pull you out of the marinade of indecision and warm up the grill. Our unique ability is to actively engage others through grounded assessment to quickly build consensus around authentic, seductive solutions that mobilize them beyond difficult transitions to focus on their own unique opportunities. These podcasts will contain relevant thought leadership content from seminars, interviews, and original material.
ReCourses: Advice to Marketing Firms
The Intellectual Property Colloquium is an online audio program devoted to intellectual property topics. We aspire to be something like an NPR talk show, but focused on copyrights and patents, and aimed primarily at a legal audience. Each show lasts one hour and features guests drawn from academia, the judiciary, and/or from technology and media companies. Lawyers who listen to the show can earn free CLE credit in California, New York, Texas, Illinois, Washington, and soon over a dozen other states. The Colloquium is produced through a partnership between the UCLA School of Law, the law firm of Loeb & Loeb, the economic consultancy LECG, and the National Jury Project, a professional jury research and trial consulting firm with offices in California, Minnesota, and New Jersey. It is hosted by UCLA Law Professor Doug Lichtman. Visit us on the web at www.ipcolloquium.com.

For the past 30+ years, I have worked at residential schools for kids with special needs. This experience allowed me to have a "laboratory" wherein I could observe these kids on a 24-hour basis and monitor their academic and social lives. Over these decades I have developed countless field-tested strategies and methods to assist these special kids with their daily struggles. At this point in my career, my personal and professional mission is to share what I have learned with parents and professionals throughout the country. Since 2001, I have delivered seminars and provided consulting services in 25 states, New Zealand, Canada and Hong Kong. I am greatly enjoying my travels and I have discovered something wonder-filled since I began these journeys... I am LEARNING as much as I am TEACHING! I constantly cross paths with extraordinary parents, professionals and pupils. There are some wonderful people and programs out there designed and dedicated to serve "our kids". So often -- as I fly back home from my latest engagement -- I wish that I could share their stories with all of you. Well, thanks to the latest Podcast technology, now I CAN !! On a regular basis I will share with you the stories of these kids... and the adults whose devoted efforts are helping them reach their fullest potential. You may never have the pleasure and the privilege to meet these folks but you should get to know them. They will inform and inspire you as they have informed and inspired me. Join me on my travels. Email me with your comments. We will learn much from each other.
