Grey Owl
In 1968, four gutsy Australian Aboriginal women become unlikely stars by singing for the troops in Vietnam with the help of an R&B-loving musician (Chris O'Dowd). Inspired by a true story.
The Sapphires
At a time when it was Australian government policy to train aboriginal children as domestic workers and integrate them into white society, three girls escape their internment camp and embark on a dangerous 1,500-mile adventure back home.
Rabbit-Proof Fence
Lena is the light-skinned daughter of an Aboriginal mother and Irish father and Vaughn is a Murri boy doing time in a minimum security prison in North West Australia. Dramatic events throw them together on a journey with no money and no transport.
Beneath Clouds
With demons from his tour of duty in Bosnia haunting him, police detective Conk Adams (Roy Dupuis) is tasked with identifying a body found in a secluded northern bog. A young archaeologist from the city is called in to assist him. But Catherine Nyland (Jane McGregor) has a secret of her own: she requires physical healing just as much as Conk is in need of spiritual and emotional relief. An unlikely pair, their working relationship develops into a unique personal bond as they review the forensics of the case. Along the way to uncovering the secret of the preserved body in the mystical bog they encounter a reclusive Aboriginal elder (Gordon Tootoosis) who seems to hold the key not only to the bodys identity but also to the path down which Catherine and Conk will ultimately travel.

American Indian Art is sometimes controversial and sometimes elusive. Contemporary Native American Artists maintain the traditions and culture of the aboriginal people of North America. This reflects the dynamic and sometimes painful changes that Native peoples have endured for hundreds of years. Native artists, in their work, cover the gamut of expression in all mediums and provide a sense of pride, ownership, emotions, and a gateway to spirituality and culture. These podcasts provide a window into a mysterious and complex culture that is full of dreams and visions. Artist, Mitch Battese, provides the illustrations in these very interesting podcasts.
