RTÉ Radio 1's Human Rights Drama Season featuring work written for Amnesty International Irish Section.
This year's Human Rights Drama Season on RTÉ Radio 1 will feature four plays; Mountain Language by Harold Pinter and world premieres of dramas by Roddy Doyle, Frank McGuinness and Eugene McCabe followed by a panel discussion chaired by Myles Dungan.
Harold Pinter's drama Mountain Language explores the notions of Cultural Imperialism. The cast includes Jeremy Irons (Oscar, Tony, Golden Globe, Emmy and BAFTA Award winner), Liam Cunningham (A Love Divided, The Wind That Shakes The Barley), Nick Dunning (In America, The Tudors), Amy Huberman (The Clinic), Deirdre Donnelly (Ballykissangel) and Andrew Bennett (Angela's Ashes, Paths To Freedom)
A new play, Two Men Meet, by Roddy Doyle will be broadcast as part of the series and new plays by Frank McGuinness; The Rights of the Child, and Eugene McCabe, Don't Ask will also feature.
